William grew up in Loughborough, England, where being involved in his father's company provided him with a strong business background. After studying computing at high school, he knew he wanted to use technology to implement creative and innovative solutions.
He attained his four year Bachelor of Science degree in Computing. His studies allowed him to design and develop complex database systems and custom UI's using a variety of different languages/technologies. Recognized early on, he was selected by faculty and his peers to be Course Representative and to liaise with the University Board of Lecturers and faculty staff representing campus/curriculum issues.
In 2003, four years prior to any iPhone release, William wrote his thesis, designed and developed a mobile application to synchronize data remotely (for consumer and corporate-to-remote employee communications) as a proof of concept for the future of mobile technology.
William started his IT healthcare career living and working in Giessen, Germany for a global pharmaceutical company as a System Developer. Since he has moved to the United States, where he now works directly with the healthcare and Life Sciences industry as Senior Vice President, Head of Business Development and Enterprise Strategy. William has experience across all commercial systems, but William's area of focus and expertise is within Enterprise Information Management, Master Data Management (MDM), Data Warehousing, Data Governance & Stewardship and Performance Management (Business Intelligence, Reporting and Advanced Analytics), where he plays key roles and helped one particular client to achieve the Gartner Master Data Management Excellence award for global Customer, Product and Sales Alignment Masters.
More recently, William moved from a Fortune 500 company to a hyper-growth Silicone Valley tech startup. He is tasked with building out and managing the Enterprise Strategy Business Development sales executive team to ensure: growth of accounts (increase sales), flawless delivery of the services/products we provide (maximize client sentiment, and therefore, retention), deep and thorough collaboration within internal matrix organizational structure (leadership and cross-team alignment) and provide consultative approach to working with our clients (innovation and partnership). In summary, his team is responsible for ensuring our most business-critical clients are happy, loyal and continue to invest in our company.
His technical background and hands on experience implementing systems for many of the top 10 Pharmaceutical companies in the world allows William to offer more than most.
Out of the office, William continues his passion for technology by keep abreast of the "bleeding" edge technology news (startups, IPO's, mergers, software and hardware devices) and often participates in new solution Alpha/Beta programs. He's an early adopter of new technologies and offers his expertise to online communities. Ultimately, William thrives in a challenging and changing environment and is motivated by making technology work for him.
